Custom Car Care - Staff

Brady Wooddell founded Custom Car Care in 1988. Prior to that he attended Old Dominion University, working towards an engineering degree. After two years of college, Brady decided to start his own business. A veteran of more than twenty years in the automotive service industry, he is an ASE Master Technician with Advanced Engine Performance Certification. He is our main "Dyno" operator and engine tuner, with factory training from the Hondata and AEM performance electronics. Brady is a racing veteran of solo events for the SCCA , and national level road racing. Although he has retired his racing helmet, he remains active in education and training at the track, and is sought for his expert consultation.

Custom Car Care - Staff

Wayne Lawson has been at Custom Care Care for more than seventeen years. As the shop foreman Wayne is the primary Nissan and Infiniti specialist; whether it's diagnosing a problem sent here from another shop, or installing performance upgrades. He is ASE certified and is up to date on all factory software, including the Consult II and Consult III. In his spare time Wayne races his vintage American muscle car that's been in the family since the 1960's. Wayne also helps set up chassis on drag cars, some of which exceed 200 m.p.h. in the quarter mile!

Kirk Moore has been with Custom Car Care for more than fifteen years. He is an ASE Certified Master Technician. Being Honda factory trained, Kirk is our main Honda / Acura performance specialist. Regionally known as the "Swap Master," his fabrication skills and attention to detail make our best upgrades available to customers . (Go to our "Performance " page to view some of his handy work.) He is also a "Dyno" operator. In his spare time, Kirk is an avid mountain biker who not only competes in events, but coordinates them as well. Back in the high performance world, he still gets to the track where he instructs for NASA at Virginia International Raceway and Summit Point Raceway.

Eric Oxley is an ASE Master Certified Technician. Factory trained in Subaru, Eric also specializes in Honda, Lexus, and Toyota care. He has also been at Custom Car Care for more than fifteen years giving customers great service. Eric has a beautifully modified 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo which he enjoys, along with woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Carrie Williams has been the office manager at Custom Car Care since 2008. A graduate of Warwick High School, Carrie received an Advanced Studies Diploma in Career and Technical Education. Carrie performs many vital roles in the workplace and while her primary focus is on customer service, she also orders parts, does shipping and receiving, handles the scheduling and manages daily office duties. She is the friendly voice that you will hear on the phone when you call. Carrie is enjoying her 2011 Civic Si and has already started the upgrades on it

Shawn Robbins joined our Custom Car Care family in 2016. With factory Honda experience and factory Nissan experience, this technician will treat your car with the skill and respect you deserve. Shawn is very thorough, methodical, and excellent at tracking down and resolving difficult issues, particularly with electrical trouble-shooting and fuel injection systems. We know he truly enjoys his work because we sometimes catch him singing while he works. With 2 little ones of his own, the importance of a safe and properly functioning vehicle is something he truly values. In his spare time, Shawn enjoys cooking, fishing, camping and quality family time.

Satch Baldwin is the newest member of the Custom Car Care family, joining us in May 2023 when we had a rare opening after Kirk’s retirement. Satch brings with him years of Nissan experience and is factory trained. He has an innate understanding of mechanical and electrical systems which helps him excel in his craft. In his spare time, Satch plays soccer on an adult league team and volunteers coaching a local high school soccer team. He also enjoys racing and cars in general. He’s driven at Langley Speedway in the past but wishes to expand to other tracks in the future. Satch is newly married and enjoys time with his wife, dog and 2 cats.
